Kurukshetra (Haryana): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday listed a series of “abuses” hurled at him by the Congress from what he called is the party’s “love dictionary”.

Modi appeared to hit back at Congress president Rahul Gandhi over a recent remark that though the prime minister had insulted his late father Rajiv Gandhi, he only had love for him.

Addressing a rally here, he also brought the air strike against Pakistan and accused the Congress of “being in love” with that country.

While listing the epithets he said were being hurled at him during the Lok Sabha campaign, Modi said he had never before opened up with this “painful tale”.

He said even his mother was not spared.

Modi claimed that the Congress has compared him to Hitler, Dawood Ibrahim, Mussolini and said he was “more cruel than Aurangzeb”.

“A Congress leader called me ‘gandi naali ka keeda’ (an insect), one leader called me a mad dog, another one called me Bhasmasura,” he alleged.

“Another Congress leader, who was an external affairs minister, called me a monkey while another minister compared me with Dawood Ibrahim,” the prime minister claimed.

“They even abused my mother and even asked who my father is, and remember all this was said after I became prime minister,” he said.

“They continue to shower their love on me. Look at the love showered by the dynast and its allies,” he said.

Modi said Congress leaders wear “a mask of love” and then hurl abuses because he does not allow them to get away with corruption, and challenges their dynasty.

“I am visiting my home Haryana, and Kurukshetra is the land of truth. So from here I want to tell my countrymen about their love dictionary and the words they use for me,” he said.

He was speaking at his second poll rally of the day in Haryana. Before this, he had addressed a public meeting in Fatehabad.

The prime minister alleged that the Congress has given tickets to people who talk about chopping him into pieces.

Modi said nobody has ever questioned this behaviour of Congress leaders.

“I know speaking such kind of words from a public platform is not right. Children studying in schools and colleges, they too are listening to my speech, but they should neither learn nor speak such kind of language (used by Congress leaders),” he said.

The prime minister said he has served the nation with dedication not caring about the abuses being hurled at him.

He wondered whether the media will tell this “painful tale” over the remaining days left for the campaigning to end.

He asked the people to spread the message through mobile phones and social media to counter the “lies” being spread about him.

Modi said during his public life, which included his tenure as the chief minister of Gujarat and as prime minister, he had never before opened up in public.

The prime minister accused the Congress of “liking” what Pakistan does.

He said India’s diplomatic prowess made Pakistan release IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman within 48 hours after his aircraft was shot down.

“The Congress has so much love for Pakistan that they even give credit for the country’s prosperity to it. This is the truth. They like activities of Pakistan but abuse those who protect the pride of the country,” he alleged.

  1. Nothing to comment about weather Congress is wearing a Mask of Love or not…. You brazenly removed that Mask of Development you have done during 2014. In 2014 hate was subtle in your political campaign as you gave that responsibility to fringe elements associated with RSS but now Fear and Hate become your main agenda. I hope good sense will prevail among citizens.
