Gurugram: Pari Bishnoi, an IAS officer of the 2020 batch of Sikkim cadre and fiancée of Haryana BJP MLA Bhavya Bishnoi, has been granted an NOC (no objection certificate) for deputation to the state by the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government, The Print has learnt.

According to a senior officer of the Haryana government, the state has given its consent to the central government’s request for Pari’s deputation. The final orders will be issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Pari Bishnoi (27) is engaged to Bhavya Bishnoi (30), the grandson of former chief minister Bhajan Lal, who held the office from 1979 to 1986 and from 1991 to 1997. The couple is likely to tie the knot in December.

Bhavya Bishnoi’s father Kuldeep Bishnoi is also a prominent BJP leader who has served as an MP and MLA. His mother Renuka Bishnoi was also an MLA from Hansi from 2014 to 2019.

Bhavya Bishnoi won the Adampur seat, a family stronghold, in a bypoll last year after his father quit the Congress and joined the BJP. He had earlier contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Hisar on a Congress ticket but lost to Brijendra Singh.

Pari Bishnoi, who is currently posted as sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) at Gangtok in Sikkim, told The Print that she applied for a deputation because her father is unwell and she wants to be closer to him. She has also worked at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Who is Pari Bishnoi?

Born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to Maniram Bishnoi, a lawyer, and inspector Sushila Bishnoi, a station house officer (SHO) in the Government Railway Police (GRP), on February 26, 1996 — Pari secured the 30th rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams in 2019.

She did her schooling at Saint Mary’s Convent, Ajmer and graduated from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi. She also holds a master’s degree in political science from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer.

It was during her graduation in Delhi that Pari reportedly started preparing for her civil services examinations. She also cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) exams but focused on cracking the UPSC, according to media reports.

She has a verified Instagram account with 153-K followers, where she posts pictures of her travels and work as an SDM.
