In today’s featured cartoon, Alok Nirantar takes a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to a case relating to the now-defunct newspaper National Herald. The Congress, which claimed that the ED was serving the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) political agenda, held a large-scale ‘satyagraha’ protest, which saw many senior leaders detained by the Delhi Police.

E.P Unny takes a jibe at the BJP’s performance in the Rajya Sabha elections held in four states on 10 June, which saw it win eight 8 out of 16 seats — all this while the controversy over former party spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s remarks about the Prophet Muhammad led to a massive backlash domestically and internationally.
