Alleged incidents of Muslim youth trying to enter garba venues last week have stoked controversy in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, where Bajrang Dal workers are conducting surprise checks like demanding to see ID cards and applying a teeka (vermillion) on the forehead of people entering.
