The best cartoons of the day, chosen by editors at ThePrint.

The selected cartoons appeared first in other publications, either in print or online, or on social media, and are credited appropriately.

In The New Yorker, Ellis Rosen refers to the incessant media coverage of Prince Harry’s wedding to American actress Meghan Markle.

In The Indian Express, Mika Aziz’s carton takes a dig at B.S. Yeddyurappa’s resignation as Karnataka chief minister just before the floor test Saturday.

Satish Acharya’s cartoon for Mail Today, too, refers to Yeddyurappa’s resignation, drawing a parallel with the BJP’s ‘Operation Kamala’ in 2008, when Yeddyurappa reportedly poached seven MLAs for the party to form the government in Karnataka.

Cartoonist Nala Ponnappa offers a laugh in the same vein, with a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Royal wedding thrown in too.
