In today’s featured cartoon, Nala Ponnappa takes a dig at Britain’s ill-gotten acquisition of the Kohinoor diamond among its colonial spoils. His cartoon depicts a shuttered shop named “Kohinoor Jewellers” with a sign reading “We are at the Charles III London coronation”. The 105-carat controversial sparkler, however, did not make an appearance at the 6 May festivities as it was kept out of Queen Camilla’s violet crown.

Satish Acharya draws on the recent road show held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru, ahead of the upcoming Karnataka elections. The BJP originally planned an 8-hour march for Modi but later split it into two parts. The cartoonist hints how people’s taxes are paying for events like roadshows.

Mika Aziz’s cartoon is a humorous take on NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s recent resignation drama — how he suddenly quit the top post and took back his decision in a matter of three days. The cartoon hints Pawar resigned to forge a greater role in national politics.

Sajith Kumar depicts and compares the upcoming Karnataka election with the recent coronation of King Charles III in England.

R Prasad|Twitter/@rprasad66

R. Prasad gives his take on the movie “The Kerala Story” being made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. It also pokes fun at the fact that the filmmakers altered the trailer to ultimately show that three girls had been covnerted. The first trailer put that number at 32,000

Chouhan said the film exposes the conspiracies of “love jihad”, religious conversion and terrorism and since it also creates the “awareness”, everyone should watch it.
