Nashik, Apr 27 (PTI) In a freak incident, an employee lost her life after her head got stuck in a small freight elevator of a hospital in Nashik on Monday, police said.
Jyoti Shivaji Ahire (50), one of the contract employees of Dr Vasantrao Pawar Medical Hospital, College and Research Centre, was peeping inside the dumbwaiter lift at around 10.30 AM.
“She put her head inside to see whether the lift was moving, when it suddenly came down, causing severe head injuries to Ahire. She succumbed to injuries,” police said.
A case has been registered with the Adgaon police station, and further investigations are on. PTI COR NSK
