New Delhi: The Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA), Department of IT, Government of Uttarakhand, along with National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is hosting a three-day Cyber Security and Best Practices Workshop for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) in Dehradun from 23-25 September, a PIB press release stated.
The workshop will bring together 25 participants from 20 different state departments for a three-day event focused on raising awareness about key cybersecurity issues, governance, and risk management frameworks.
It will also provide participants with practical knowledge in network and cloud security, which is of utmost importance for securing state-level e-governance systems. The workshop will also cover data protection, application security, and endpoint security, ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive information across government platforms.
In the last leg of the workshop, the participants will be trained in developing and implementing Cyber Crisis Management Plans (CCMP), which is the most effective way for departments to respond to cybersecurity incidents. The training will also address identity and access management challenges, enhancing the secure use of digital systems within government departments.
