New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI) Three persons have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old boy to death in northeast Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar, with police recovering the weapon used in the crime, an official said on Thursday.
The victim, a resident of Kardampuri, was brought dead to GTB Hospital on Tuesday after being stabbed by three assailants in the Kardampuri, police said.
Based on information received from the hospital, a case was registered at Jyoti Nagar police station and an investigation was launched.
Police said forensic experts examined the crime scene and collected evidence, while investigators scanned CCTV footage from the area and developed local intelligence to identify the suspects.
During the investigation, two accused — Arman and Alfaiz — were apprehended by the Crime Branch.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder and disclosed that they had an old rivalry with the victim, police said.
The third accused, Aman Khan, who had been absconding, was later arrested. None of the three accused have any previous criminal involvement, police said.
