Siblings killed in bike-truck collision in UP’s Mahoba

Mahoba (UP), Apr 1 (PTI) A 25-year-old man and his minor sister died when the bike they were on was hit from behind by a speeding truck on Kanpur-Sagar road, police said on Saturday. Two more people were injured in the incident.

Srinagar Police Station SHO Ganesh Kumar Gupta said the incident happened late Friday evening near a drain in Bara village.

The victims have been identified as Sunil Kori and his 17-year-old sister Geeta.

Sunil’s wife Ramrati and his son Anshu were seriously injured in the incident, he said.

The family was from Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, and were returning from Devasthan in Bilhari village in Mahoba district.

Gupta said that hitting the motorcycle, the truck driver fled with his truck, but was later nabbed by the police.

The injured were admitted in a hospital, and the bodies of the victims were sent for post mortem, police said. PTI COR NAV VN VN
