Dahod, Sep 19 (PTI) Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Saturday held an interaction with tribal youth under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Bhadbha village in Dahod district.
When the Vadnagar to Varanasi bike rally, a highlight of the campaign, reached Dahod, Sanghavi asked youth to use artificial intelligence tools on their mobile phones to check the country’s development figures before 2014 and in the present time, an official release stated.
The youth searched through AI and replied that before 2014, there were only 387 medical colleges in the country, which have increased to 780.
Citing information from Rajya Sabha figures in AI, the youth said that MBBS seats have increased from 51,348 to 1,15,900, while PG seats have increased from 31,885 to 74,306, the release noted.
Due to the doubling of engineering and higher education seats, sons and daughters from ordinary families in tribal areas are also fulfilling their dreams of becoming doctors and engineers today, it said.
During the interaction, many youngsters told Sanghavi about the changes brought into their lives by various government schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, etc.
Sanghavi urged youth to devote 25 minutes every day for social service for the next one month, the release said.
He visited the Sports Complex located at Devgadh Baria in Dahod district and interacted with the players.
During the day, Sanghavi held a natural farming dialogue at Natural Farming Science University in Halol as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
Sanghavi inspected natural farming as well as its production process and also appreciated various service activities, including cleanliness and cow service, undertaken by youths and citizens under the Seva Yatra launched on the occasion of Modi’s birthday, an official release said.
The Deputy CM asked farmers to undertake at least 25 minutes of voluntary labour in the coming month to participate in cleanliness drives and service activities, it said.
Sanghavi reached Panchmahal district with Seva Yatris in the bike rally and participated in various cleanliness programmes.
“After reaching Ghoghamba bus station premises in Panchmahal, the Deputy CM himself undertook cleaning and removed garbage, giving an inspiring message of cleanliness to citizen,” the release stated.
Sanghavi also paid floral tribute at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda located near Birsa Munda Circle in Ghoghamba taluka. He undertook special voluntary labour at Bhathiji Maharaj temple located near Ghoghamba in Panchmahal district and painted the temple premises along with ‘Seva Yatris’, the release said.
“Cleanliness and maintenance of religious and sacred pilgrimage places is the collective responsibility of all of us. Through the Seva Yatra, youths are giving the message of protection of culture and cleanliness through such voluntary labour from village to village,” Sanghavi was quoted as saying in the release.
