Jaipur, Jun 1 (PTI) BJP’s central leadership on Monday appointed senior leader Ajey Kumar as the new general secretary (organisation) of its Rajasthan unit.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, BJP president Madan Rathore and other leaders welcomed his appointment and described Kumar as an experienced organiser with a strong track record in strengthening party structures.
Rathore said Kumar’s organisational experience, leadership skills and commitment to party workers would provide fresh momentum to the BJP in Rajasthan and help further expand the organisation.
Kumar began his public life as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak in 1997 and has held various responsibilities in both the RSS and the BJP.
He served in several organisational roles in Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh before being appointed BJP’s regional organisation general secretary for western Uttar Pradesh in 2018, a statement said.
Since 2019, Kumar has been serving as the general secretary (organisation) of the BJP’s Uttarakhand unit.
Sharma said Kumar’s appointment reflected the party leadership’s confidence in his organisational abilities and expressed hope that the Rajasthan BJP would become stronger and more effective under his guidance. PTI SDA PRK
