Samalkha (Haryana), Jul 26 (PTI) The Rashtra Sevika Samiti on Sunday urged the Centre and state governments to implement a common population policy for all communities and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), expressing concern over what it termed as “population imbalance.” The demand was made through a resolution passed on the final day of the organisation’s three-day first half-yearly meeting of its Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini and Pratinidhi Mandal held in Samalkha, Haryana.
The meeting was attended by 488 representatives from 40 provinces, including the organisation’s Pramukh Sanchalika Shanta Kumari and Pramukh Karyavahika Sita Gayatri.
According to the organisation, the meeting reviewed its activities carried out since February 2026.
It said its organisational network had expanded during the past six months, and it currently has 4,886 branches, 1,173 “Milan” units and 1,332 service projects across 852 districts.
