Punjab SIR: Digitisation of enumeration forms completed ahead of Aug 3 deadline

Chandigarh, Aug 2 (PTI) As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Punjab, 100 per cent digitisation of enumeration forms has been completed in all assembly constituencies ahead of the August 3 deadline, an official statement said on Sunday.

Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Anindita Mitra said this reflects the dedication of the election machinery involved in this massive task, the statement said.

She commended the efforts of district election officers, deputy assistant electoral registration officers, supervisors, and booth level officers in all assembly constituencies.

The entire election staff deserves acknowledgement for this achievement, she added.

The draft electoral rolls in Punjab will be published on August 13.

Claims and objections can be submitted from August 13 to September 12 and disposal of claims and objections will be done from August 13 to October 8.

Punjab’s final electoral rolls will be published on October 12. PTI SUN DIV DIV
