Gandhinagar, Jul 21 (PTI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to build a developed India by 2047 can only be realised through the development of individual states, and hailed Gujarat’s contribution to the PM’s vision.

Shah virtually inaugurated projects worth Rs 870 crore in Mansa taluka in his Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other local leaders attended the function.

“The current Chief Minister, Bhupendra-bhai, is carrying forward the ‘Ganga’ of development flowing through Gujarat. Modi saheb always prioritised citizens’ happiness and placed a strong emphasis on infrastructure for development, creating programmes that integrate all these aspects,” Shah said in his address.

Chief Minister Patel has sustained the development in Gujarat initiated by Modi, and the latter would be delighted to see how his dream of ‘developed Gujarat’ has now expanded into the grand vision of a ‘developed India’ (Viksit Bharat), the senior BJP leader said.

“The resolve Modi saheb has made to build a ‘developed India’ by August 15, 2047, can only be realized through the development of individual states. I extend my best wishes to you (CM Patel) as you work day and night to turn this resolve into reality,” Shah said.

The projects being inaugurated included a bridge, a Community Health Centre (CHC) and a building in the name of a trust set up to commemorate renowned Gujarati writer Raghuveer Chaudhary, he noted.

“The Community Health Centre in Charda village will benefit a population of one lakh. A new Civil Hospital is currently being built in Mansa. I would like to tell the people of Charda that once the Mansa Civil Hospital is ready, you will not need to travel to Gandhinagar. The Charda CHC will function as an extension of the Civil Hospital,” he said.

“The beautiful building of the Raghuveer Chaudhary Sanskar Bhavan Trust has been inaugurated. Born into the family of a humble cattle rearer, he earned nationwide renown as a distinguished litterateur and received the Padma award. He has brought glory to Charada and Mansa,” Shah said.

Two barrages worth Rs 716 crore, being inaugurated on the occasion, will retain the water released from Dharoi for at least eight months, facilitate tourism and support diverse wildlife, the Union minister said.

In his address, CM Patel said that the occasion was not merely about the dedication of development projects but also reflected the public’s trust, hopes and the fulfillment of their aspirations.

“Global leader Modi has charted a new path for development with the resolve of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), and the nation is moving in a new direction of progress,” Patel said.

“Having successfully completed 12 years of development, trust, and public welfare, Modi is now advancing the vision of a developed India….Gujarat has been reaping the benefits of this visionary leadership and good governance for the past two and a half decades,” he said. PTI KA PD KRK
