New Delhi, Apr 27 (PTI) Newly-appointed full-time member of the Niti Aayog Gobardhan Das on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who said every struggle the scientist faced only strengthened his commitment to serve society and make it free from suffering.
On April 24, the government reconstituted the Niti Aayog, appointing former chief economic advisor Ashok Kumar Lahiri as vice chairman and five full-time members, including Das.
“Met Prof. Gobardhan Das Ji this morning. His personal life journey is very inspiring. Every struggle he faced only strengthened his commitment to serve society and make it free from suffering. This has been reflected in his contribution to public health and immunology. His rich work and scholarship will enrich our policy-making architecture,” Modi said in a post on X.
Das reciprocated by saying that he promised to work with honesty, dedication, and complete responsibility to realise the prime minister’s dream of a developed India.
