Shimla, April 17 (PTI) The meteorological office here on Friday issued an alert for thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds at 30-40 kmph at isolated places in five Himachal Pradesh districts on Saturday and Sunday.
The alert was issued for the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla.
In the 24 hours since Thursday evening, light rainfall took place at several places across the state, with Manali receiving 6 mm rainfall, Kukumseri 1.6 mm, Kalpa 0.3 mm, while Sundernagar, Bhuntar and Kangra also witnessed traces of rain.
The weather office has predicted a wet spell in the state till April 20 (Monday), and on April 23 (Thursday).
Keylong witnessed the coldest at night in the state, recording a minimum temperature of 2.5 degrees Celsius, while Una was the hottest during the day at 34.8 degrees Celsius. PTI BPL ARB ARB
