Baghpat (UP), Apr 27 (PTI) A 25-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death, and five members of his family were injured following a violent clash over a minor dispute with neighbours on Monday in the Baraut area, police said.
The incident occurred on Badka Road after a dispute over water entering the neighbour’s premises during the cleaning broke out between two families.
Additional Superintendent of Police Pravin Kumar Chauhan said, “During the confrontation, Irfan’s family members allegedly attacked Shoaib, 25, with a knife. He sustained grievous injuries and died during treatment.” Shoaib’s mother, Guddo, father Aas Mohammad, sister Farha, younger brother Farman and a relative were injured in the clash.
The police admitted all the injured to a local hospital and sent the body for a post-mortem, the ASP said.
The police have constituted three teams to nab the accused, and are conducting raids at various locations, he said.
Station House Officer Dixit Tyagi said that a case has been registered based on the complaint received, and further legal proceedings are underway. PTI COR ABN SHS SHS
