Etah (UP), Apr 27 (PTI) The body of a 35-year-old man, who had been missing for four days, was found from a forest area, with his family alleging murder over a financial dispute, police said on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rajkumar, a resident of Lakhapur under the Malawan police station limits.
According to his family, Rajkumar had gone to Danda village in the Nayagaon area to resolve a dispute related to insurance money.
After he did not return home, his family members filed a complaint on April 23, police said, adding that his body was found late Sunday.
“Prima facie, injury marks have been found on the head, suggesting foul play,” Station House Officer Anil Kumar said.
Family members have accused a relative of orchestrating the murder over a monetary dispute.
A forensic team examined the spot and collected evidence, police said, adding that the body has been sent for a post-mortem.
Rajkumar is survived by a 13-year-old daughter and an eight-year-old son.
Police said efforts are on to arrest the accused and all angles are being probed. The incident has triggered anger among villagers, who have demanded swift action. PTI CORR ABN KSI KSI
