Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 6 (PTI) The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will launch its cargo service on Wednesday as part of efforts to expand its logistics operations and boost non-ticket revenue.
Transport Minister C P John will flag off the service at the cargo terminal of the Thiruvananthapuram Domestic Airport, an official statement said on Tuesday.
The cargo service is being launched as part of the KSRTC’s efforts to further expand its logistics operations, which are already being successfully run by the corporation, officials said.
KSRTC decided to enter the cargo sector after studying the models of various state road transport corporations across the country that have successfully implemented cargo services as part of their efforts to increase non-ticket revenue, they said. PTI LGK ADB
