During the meeting, the chief minister raised critical matters related to public welfare, administrative efficiency and long-term development in the region.
“Chief Minister met Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi today and discussed key issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir,” Abdullah’s office said in a post on X.
The discussions focused prominently on the early restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, alongside the finalisation of the Transaction of Business Rules to streamline administrative governance, it said.
The two leaders also deliberated on the rationalisation of reservation policy in the Union territory, aimed at addressing public demands and balancing administrative requirements.
Abdullah briefed Shah on preparations for the First International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK), which is scheduled to commence in Srinagar next week, the Chief Minister’s Office said.
