Jindal Steel & Power signs MoU with Indian Coast Guard for indigenous marine-grade steel

New Delhi: Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) for providing indigenous marine-grade steel to the shipbuilding industry in order to enhance the indigenous content in the country’s shipbuilding activities, a PIB press release stated.

As per the agreement, the JSP will supply the steel to the ICG for use in the nation’s interest. The entire process, from booking to delivery, will be covered by the ICG. The agreement also states that the JSP will use its designated steel plants to manufacture the product and provide it to the ICG in a timely manner. JSP has committed to ensuring the quality, grades, and dimensions of the steel for the shipbuilding yards.
