Patna, Sep 22 (PTI) Senior JD (U) leader Upendra Kushwaha Thursday hit out at RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari for his advice to Nitish Kumar to ‘open an ashram in 2025’ and said “prayers of crores of countrymen are with the Bihar chief minister “.

The people want to see Kumar in the “highest post” and it is Tiwari who should “look for an ashram”, Kushwara tweeted “Nitish Kumar jee is not going to open any ashram at all. The prayers of crores of countrymen are with him and they want Nitish ji to continue to serve the people of India. People want to see him at the highest peak of power. In fact you (Tiwary) should look for some ashram,” Kushwaha said.

TiwarI had told party workers at the RJD office here on Wednesday , “Nitish Kumar had said a few that he would open an ashram and provide training to political workers. He (Kumar) should remember it … He should open an ashram after making Tejashwi the chief minister of Bihar in 2025”.

The remark was made in the presence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, state Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and other senior leaders of the party.

Comenting on the RJD leader’s remark, Bihar BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand, said “RJD will soon push JD(U) out to make Tejashwi the chief minister and send Nitishji to the ashram after forced retirement. Shivanand Tiwari made this statement in front of all senior RJD lean ders including Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi”.

Kumar, who is the de facto chief of JD(U) had broken his alliance with BJP and returned to the Mahagathbandhan with RJD, Congress and others and had formed the new government in Bihar in August this year. He has said that his focus is to bring together opposition parties against the NDA at the Centre. PTI PKD KK KK KK
