Speaking to reporters here, he urged election authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the impact of the recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise on the final election results.
Alleging widespread disenfranchisement, Raj claimed that the SIR process arbitrarily deleted thousands of legitimate voters from the rolls under the guise of classifications such as “absent” or “shifted.” He alleged that designating voters as “not at home” during routine verification in critical constituencies like Kolathur, raises the question, “Whether Stalin’s defeat was genuine or orchestrated through targeted electoral roll modifications”.
VS Babu of TVK defeated Stalin at Kolathur constituency by 8,795 votes in the April 23 Assembly polls.
