Unveiling Telangana-based KETO Motors’ “first commercial electric bus”, Reddy said in a post on X that the launch reflected the growing strength of India’s indigenous manufacturing capabilities and the country’s commitment to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
“The launch of KETO Motors’ first commercial electric bus reflects the growing strength of India’s indigenous manufacturing capabilities and our commitment to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” the union minister for Coal and Mines said.
According to Reddy, electric mobility is not merely an alternative to conventional transport. It is also key to enhancing India’s energy security, reducing pollution, lowering dependence on fuel imports and promoting technological self-reliance.
He said the Central government remained committed to strengthening the entire EV ecosystem, from manufacturing vehicles and batteries to expanding charging infrastructure, research and skill development.
Reddy said Telangana-based enterprises were making a valuable contribution to the country’s electric mobility drive by developing indigenous solutions that strengthen public transport, generate employment and promote sustainable economic growth.
