HP govt transfers 8 IPS and 4 HPPS officers; SPs of four districts reshuffled

Shimla, Jun 22 (PTI) The Himachal Pradesh on Monday transferred eight Indian Police Service officers and two Himachal Pradesh Police Service officers, including Superintendents of Police of four districts, along with two Inspector Generals of Police, with immediate effect.

The transfers and postings have been ordered by Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta, on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board.

The government has transferred 2008-batch HPPS officer Kulbhushan Verma, currently serving as Nurpur SP of Police District, as Kangra SP. He replaces 2017-batch IPS officer Ashok Rattan, who has been shifted as SP (Leave Reserve) at Shimla.

Verma will also hold the additional charge of SP, Special Task Force (STF), Dharamshala Zone, a charge that was also being held by Rattan.

Similarly, Bilaspur SP Sandeep Kumar Dhawal has been transferred as Dehra SP. Shimla Additional SP Abhishek has been promoted and posted as the new SP Bilaspur.

Meanwhile, Dehra SP Mayank Chaudhary has been posted as SP (Leave Reserve) at Police Headquarters, Shimla; Nadaun SDPO Gauravjeet Singh has been appointed as Shimla Additional SP and Ilma Afroz, who recently returned from ex-India study leave and was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Nurpur SP.

Furthermore, 2006-batch IPS officer Abhishek Dular, currently serving as IG (Communication and Technical Services), Hamirpur, has been transferred as IG (Law and Order), Shimla.

He will also hold additional charge as IG (Armed Police and Training), Daroh. D K Chaudhary, who was serving in that role, has been posted as IG (Communication and Technical Services), Hamirpur.

The government has also transferred HPPS officer Raman Sharma as SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV & ACB), Northern Range, Dharamshala. PTI/COR SHS
