Sirsa in Haryana recorded the hottest day temperature at 44 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met office here, Rohtak recorded a maximum temperature of degrees Celsius, Narnaul 42.5 degrees Celsius, Hisar 42.4 degrees Celsius, Karnal 41.4 degrees Celsius and Ambala recorded a high of 40 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Bathinda was the hottest at 43.1 degrees Celsius.
Several places in the state reeled under hot weather conditions with Patiala recording 42 degrees, Ludhiana 41.6 degrees Celsius and Pathankot 40.6 degrees Celsius.
Amritsar logged in a maximum temperature of 39.9 degrees Celsius, while Mohali saw a high of 38.9 degrees Celsius.
