Shimla, Sep 4 (PTI) A salesman at a liquor shop in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by two men following an argument, police said on Friday.
The incident happened at the shop located on the Mall Road on Thursday night, they said, adding that the salesman, identified as Pankaj from Kangra, was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to PGI Chandigarh due to his critical injuries.
Solan SP Sai Dattatraya Verma said the injured person had been working at the liquor shop for quite some time. Late last night, he got into an argument with two men from Sirmaur’s Haripurdhar.
The two men suddenly attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, causing severe head injuries, and fled.
A case has been registered. The police arrested both accused late last night, and an investigation is underway, he added. PTI BPL NB NB
