Jaipur, Apr 27 (PTI) Heatwave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan, with Jaisalmer being the hottest place recording a maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius on Monday, a weather department spokesperson said.
Barmer recorded 46 degrees Celsius, followed by Kota and Vanasthali 45.7 degrees Celsius each, Phalodi and Chittorgarh 45.4 degrees Celsius, Churu 45.3 degrees Celsius and Pilani and Bikaner 45 degrees Celsius each.
In major cities, the maximum temperature was recorded 2 to 3 degrees above normal in the corresponding period, the spokesperson said.
