Prayagraj, Sep 8 (PTI) The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday stayed criminal proceedings against Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan in a case related to breach of Model Conduct of Code during the 2024 general elections.
Justice Vikram D Chauhan passed the order while hearing a petition that the case against the MP from Kairana was due to “political rivalry”.
An FIR was registered against Iqra Hasan at police station Kandhla, Shamli for breach of Model Conduct of Code during the parliamentary elections in 2024.
Following a probe, the investigating officer submitted chargesheet on which MP-MLA court at Shamli initiated criminal proceedings.
