As many as 26 pumping sets have been deployed for drainage, resulting in a significant improvement in the waterlogging situation by 5 pm on Thursday, it said.
LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar and Secretary Sushil Pratap Singh inspected the affected areas and directed officials to expedite relief and drainage operations.
The LDA has increased manpower by one-and-a-half times in different pockets, while its officials, engineers and staff are monitoring the situation round-the-clock in three shifts and responding to emergencies, according to the statement.
