Ex-PM Deve Gowda hails BJP and PM Modi for assembly poll results

Bengaluru, May 4 (PTI) JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Monday congratulated his party’s ally BJP for its victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry.

In a post on ‘X’, the 92-year-old leader congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president Nitin Nabin.

“As an NDA partner am very happy and proud about the performance of the BJP in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, Home Minister Shri @AmitShah and BJP National President @NitinNabin,” Gowda wrote.

Union Minister and Gowda’s son H D Kumaraswamy too hailed the victory.

The JD(S) second-in-command said the election result was a step towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India).

“The NDA’s emphatic victory today stands as a resounding affirmation of the people’s enduring trust in the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru and his transformative agenda for a Viksit Bharat,” Kumaraswamy wrote on ‘X’.

He noted that the victory reinforced the NDA as a platform of credibility, performance and inclusive governance, while underscoring that Young India values delivery, integrity and a genuine connect with citizens.

The Union Minister also lauded Shah saying that his strategic leadership and unwavering commitment to national unity have been instrumental in shaping this outcome, further strengthening the NDA’s reach and organisational depth across the country. PTI GMS GMS ROH
