Lucknow, Aug 2 (PTI) Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey on Sunday said that various issues, including the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, will be discussed in the Monsoon Session beginning on Monday.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday after an all-party meeting, Pandey said, “All the issues, be it related to education, inflation, unemployment, and the issue of donations made at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, will be discussed.” He added that discussions will also be held on issues related to farmers and agriculture.
Pandey also said that discussions will also be held on the alleged shutting down of schools. The SP had earlier alleged that the government weakened the state’s education system by shutting thousands of primary schools under the guise of mergers.
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on July 21 approved the convening of the third session of the state legislature for 2026 from August 3, during which the supplementary budget for the financial year 2026-27 and other legislative businesses will be taken up.
Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna had said that both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council will meet on August 3.
He said the government will present the supplementary demands for grants for the 2026-27 financial year during the Monsoon Session.
Bills to replace ordinances promulgated after the conclusion of the previous session will also be introduced and taken up for passage, besides other essential legislative and government businesses, Khanna said.
