New Delhi, Sep 19 (PTI) Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) winners on Saturday said they will focus on student safety, better facilities, equal opportunities, and a positive academic environment, while working to ensure that women’s concerns are heard.
The RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) registered a 3-0 victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections against Congress’s NSUI, with Yash Dabas winning the president’s post, Riya Chhawdi the secretary’s post, and Lakshya Raj Singh the joint secretary’s post.
The result was the latest in a string of ABVP’s electoral successes in universities across the country.
Dabas said the mandate reflected students’ trust in social harmony, patriotism and student power, and their message to rise above caste and divisive politics.
