Gurugram, Oct 15 (PTI) A suspected drunk driver allegedly driving a Scorpio on the wrong side of the road rammed into around five vehicles in Sector 83 here, damaging several vehicles and leaving some people with minor injuries, eyewitnesses said.
A woman whose car was damaged in the incident — which occurred on Tuesday — allegedly slapped the driver after he got out of the vehicle. A purported video of the incident has surfaced on social media.
According to eyewitnesses, the black Scorpio was speeding on the wrong side of the road when the driver lost control and hit several vehicles in succession.
After the SUV came to a halt, people at the spot tried to pull the driver out. They claimed he appeared to be intoxicated and had difficulty standing.
The woman, whose vehicle was among those damaged, allegedly slapped the driver in anger. Bystanders intervened to defuse the situation, eyewitnesses said.
The incident was recorded on mobile phones, and the footage subsequently circulated on social media. Some social media content creators reportedly removed the video after the woman requested them to do so.
