New Delhi, Oct 6 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta along with Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Tuesday launched several initiatives, including an expanded ANMOL scheme and a State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) headquarters.

The initiatives launched as part of ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, also included disbursal of enhanced incentive amounts to ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers and launch of a nursing home management system portal.

Health minister Pankaj Singh also attended the launch programme held at Thyagraj stadium.

The incentive amount for ASHA workers has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000. This will provide financial support to Delhi’s 6,690 ASHA workers and further strengthen door-to-door health services, a Delhi CMO post said on X.

The SOTTO headquarters at the GB Pant Hospital was also launched at the programme. It will serve to coordinate the entire process of organ donation and transplantation, enabling timely assistance to reach patients in need.

Under expanded ANMOL (Advanced Newborn Monitoring and Optimal Lifecare) scheme 56 types of screening and tests will be conducted using just one blood sample from the newborn babies, enabling timely detection and treatment of genetic, metabolic, and congenital diseases.

The tests under the scheme are completely free of cost.

The Nursing Home Management System portal will make processes related to nursing homes more simple, transparent, and accountable, said the CMO.

The chief minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi government has resolved that health services become more accessible, health protection reaches every corner of society, and every hand engaged in service receives due respect. PTI VIT VIT NB

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
