Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 27 (PTI) The Andaman and Nicobar administration has advised fisherfolk not to venture into the sea till Wednesday, while operators of onshore and offshore tourism and recreational activities have been asked to exercise caution as very severe cyclonic storm Arnab approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast.

The storm, likely to cross the Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry’s Yanam coasts on October 28, will bring rain in all three districts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands till October 29.

In view of the developing weather conditions, authorities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have urged residents, particularly those in low-lying areas, to remain vigilant and follow official advisories.

People have also been advised to avoid recreational activities in the sea and take precautions during thunderstorms.

The administration is monitoring the situation and has urged the public to cooperate with the authorities and contact the State Control Room or disaster management officials in case of an emergency. PTI COR NSD
