CSIR-NIIST to host ‘Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet’ on May 11

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 24 (PTI) CSIR-NIIST will organise a “Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet” on May 11 in connection with National Technology Day here, officials said on Friday.

The event aims to strengthen engagement with stakeholders and customers while providing a platform for interaction and knowledge exchange.

Dr C Anandharamakrishnan, Director of CSIR-NIIST, said the event reflects the institute’s commitment to translating cutting-edge research into technologies with societal and industrial impact.

“The Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet on the occasion of National Technology Day 2026 reflects our commitment to translating cutting-edge research into impactful technologies for society and industry. This platform will foster stronger engagement with our stakeholders, promote industry partnerships, and accelerate the deployment of sustainable and innovative solutions developed at CSIR-NIIST,” he said.

“We look forward to meaningful interactions that will further strengthen the innovation ecosystem and contribute to India’s technological self-reliance,” he added.

CSIR-NIIST, in a statement, said heads of research divisions will present their R and D expertise and technologies.

Participants will be able to interact with scientists, visit research divisions, and witness demonstrations of technologies, facilities, and equipment, it said.

The institute has invited customers and industry stakeholders, including MSMEs across India, to participate in the event, focusing on partnerships, networking, and opportunities for technology transfer and commercialisation.
