Panaji, Aug 10 (PTI) The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Monday discussed the party’s strategy for the 2027 assembly elections and plans to strengthen the organisation during a meeting with its representatives from all 40 constituencies.
The meeting was presided over by AICC in-charge for Goa Manikrao Thakare. GPCC chief Girish Chodankar, opposition leader Yuri Alemao and working presidents M K Shaikh, Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Altone D’Costa and Sunil Kawthankar were also present.
The meeting was attended by district unit Congress presidents, the women wing head, state Youth Congress president, block presidents, and executive members from all 40 constituencies, the party stated.
The discussions focused on strengthening booth-level organisation, improving coordination among workers, expanding public outreach and ensuring greater participation of grassroots workers in the party’s organisational activities.
The Congress leadership emphasised the need for unity, discipline and collective responsibility while discussing strategies to raise issues concerning the people of Goa and build a stronger organisation, the party said.
The Congress said the participation of leaders and workers from all 40 constituencies reflected “renewed energy, commitment and determination” within the organisation.
