Shimla, Oct 24 (PTI) Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday virtually inaugurated a new sub-tehsil office building constructed at Rs 2.47 crore at Bihru in Una district.

“The building had been completed through the sustained efforts of MLA Vivek Sharma, who remained committed to addressing the concerns of the people and ensuring that their work was carried out,” Sukhu said.

The chief minister further said that the state government had sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the construction of a bridge between Matiyana and Bangana. In addition, the Turkal-Panga drinking water supply scheme was being implemented at Rs 15 crore.

Sukhu said his government has also taken significant steps to strengthen road infrastructure in the area.

“These include the sanctioning of Rs 8.36 crore for the Lathiani-Kodra road, Rs 12 crore to strengthen the Bangana-Shantla road and Rs 13 crore for the construction of the Hatli-Talpi road.

“The state government is also committed to the overall development of the Kutlehar assembly constituency and is providing all possible assistance to expedite development projects in accordance with the needs of the region,” he said. PTI COR SKY

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
