Manpur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 27 (PTI) Ten members of a family, including five women and two minor girls, were injured after their car met with an accident in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district of Chhattisgarh on Monday while they were returning from a wedding, police said.

The accident took place in the morning near Kamanasur village on National Highway 930 under the Khadgaon police station limits, a police official said.

The victims, natives of Bharda Kala village in the neighbouring Balod district, had gone to attend a wedding in Shilpat village in the adjoining Kanker district.

On the way back home, their car reportedly went out of control near Kamanasur, overturned, and then flipped back onto its wheels, injuring all ten occupants, including five women and two girls — aged 7 and 8 years, he said.

With the help of local villagers and police, all the injured persons were rushed to the Manpur Community Health Centre, the official said.

Later, they were referred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Rajnandgaon for advanced care, he added. PTI COR TKP RSY
