New Delhi, May 5 (PTI) The CAQM Enforcement Task Force reviewed reports from 174 inspections and enforcement action carried out in the NCR with 61 violations reported during the period between April 11 and 28. The flying squads carried out 26 inspections at construction and demolition sites, 40 inspections in the industrial sector and 108 inspections of diesel generator sets, officials said after the Task Force’s 130th meeting on Monday.
The 61 violations included 12 at construction and demolition sites, eight in the industrial sector and 41 involving diesel generator sets.
“The Task Force emphasised the need for focused enforcement in priority sectors, particularly diesel generator sets… construction and demolition activities, industrial emissions and road dust management,” an official said.
During the meeting, the CAQM also reiterated the requirement for robust enforcement, strengthened inter-agency coordination, and strict adherence to prescribed environmental norms to ensure abatement of air pollution across NCR. PTI ALC PRK
