Bengaluru, Oct 7 (PTI) BJP veteran and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership based on the Antyodaya (elevating everyone) philosophy as an inspiration, as he hailed Modi’s 25 years of public service.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the Seva Jyoti Yatra, organised as part of the Seva Sankalpa campaign here, Yediyurappa, who is a BJP Central Parliamentary Board member, said Modi’s achievements and service activities had illuminated the path for party workers.
“This is a moment when Narendra Modi is completing 25 years of meaningful service in public life. During this period, through the Seva Sankalpa campaign, we are all remembering and celebrating his service to the nation,” Yediyurappa said.
He said Modi had completed 25 years of continuous public service–nearly 13 years as Gujarat Chief Minister and the past 12 years as Prime Minister.
The former CM described Modi’s service to the country as unparalleled.
Yediyurappa said Modi had dedicated his entire life to the country and that having such a leader at the helm was a matter of pride for every Indian.
“Looking at Modi’s journey, I feel that politics was not a path to power for him, but an opportunity to serve the people and the nation,” he said.
Modi had consistently worked with the resolve to transform the lives of ordinary citizens, both as chief minister and prime minister, Yediyurappa added.
He called upon party workers to resolve to establish personal contact with people, saying such efforts should be an expression of their admiration for Modi. PTI GMS SA
