Shimla, Oct 27 (PTI) BJP MLA from Sullah Vipin Singh Parmar on Tuesday said that the party will organise rallies at four places in Himachal Pradesh from October 30 under the ‘Arajakta Hatao, Loktantra Bachao’ campaign.
Addressing a press conference in Dharamshala, Parmar said that the march will be held in Dharamshala on October 30; Shimla on November 1; and Mandi and Hamirpur on November 4, through which the party will highlight the policies and political attitude of the Congress.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has made significant progress in education, science, space, employment and infrastructure, while India’s standing globally has also strengthened.
Speaking about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Parmar said that it is necessary to identify deceased, relocated and duplicate voters. He said the use of Form 6 and the participation of political parties’ representatives at the booth level could help ensure transparency in the voter registration process.
Referring to the elections to the Municipal Corporations of Dharamsala, Mandi and Solan, as well as Panchayati Raj Institutions, Parmar questioned the Congress’ allegations regarding the electoral process, saying the BJP won elections in Himachal Pradesh conducted through both EVMs and ballot papers.
