Mumbai, Sep 4 (PTI) Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday claimed the BJP is stooping very low and winning polls, adding the party would do anything to achieve power.
Addressing his party’s booth level agents from Beed district, Thackeray also slammed the SIR process, alleging that a significant number of voters were deleted from the rolls due to it in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
Voters in WB, TN were removed, over two crore voters were removed from Maharashtra after SIR, the former chief minister claimed.
“BJP is stooping to a very low level and winning polls. They do anything to achieve power,” Thackeray said.
He said after the stupendous performance of the Maha Vikas Aghadi in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP swept the Maharashtra assembly polls in less than six months.
Thackeray attributed the BJP’s victory in the Maharashtra assembly polls to the addition of 45 lakh voters after the Lok Sabha polls.
He said now two crore have been brought down. There is a possibility that two crore more voters can be added to the list, Thackeray said. PTI PR BNM
