Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 8 (PTI) The BJP in Keralam on Thursday reviewed its organisational preparedness and strategies for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections and worked out a comprehensive action plan for the road ahead.
The review meeting, chaired by BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, was attended by the party’s new prabhari — Rajya Sabha MP Professor M Nagaraja and saha prabhari M A Venkatesan.
Following the meeting, Chandrasekhar in an X post said that the party in 2026 shattered the narrative that it cannot win in the southern state by gaining three seats in the assembly polls.
He also said that the 2029 Lok Sabha election “will be decisive for the country’s future”, and Keralam will have a role to play in it.
“Chaired the @BJP4Keralam Core Committee meeting at Mararji Bhavan today, and was happy to welcome our new Prabhari @profmnagaraja ji and Saha-Prabhari @MaVenkatesanbjp ji.
“We discussed the pressing issues facing the people of Keralam, reviewed our organisational preparations and strategy for the Lok Sabha elections as part of #Mission2029, and worked out a comprehensive action plan for the road ahead,” he said.
Chandrasekhar, the MLA from Nemom assembly constituency, said the BJP will continue to firmly oppose and expose the alleged failures, corruption and appeasement politics of the government led by the Congress and its ally Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
“We will also continue to expose the fixed match between Congress and CPM. We said it before the election, and it is clearer now: in Keralam there are only two fronts, the INDI alliance of CPM and Congress on one side, and the BJP/NDA on the other.
“Congress and CPM are not two, but one. #RandallaOnnanu Our goal is #VikasitaKeralam, and we want to change Keralam’s political culture from manufactured controversies to #PoliticsOfSeva and #PoliticsOfPerformance,” he said. PTI HMP ROH
