Army corps commander visits forward posts along LoC in J-K’s Poonch

Jammu, Oct 3 (PTI) A senior army officer on Saturday visited forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district and urged all ranks to maintain the highest standards of vigilance, readiness and responsiveness.

The visit of General Officer Commanding (GOC) Jammu-based White Knight Corps Lieutenant General Mohit Seth to forward posts in the Poonch and Krishna Ghati sectors comes two days after he assumed command.

Accompanied by GOC Ace of Spades Division, Lt Gen Seth reviewed the operational preparedness of the formation during the visit, the Army’s White Knight Corps said in a post on X.

It said the Corps Commander was briefed on the prevailing security environment, counter-infiltration measures, surveillance architecture and ongoing initiatives to further enhance operational effectiveness.

Commending the troops for their unwavering commitment and operational excellence, the GOC impressed upon all ranks to maintain the highest standards of Vigilance, readiness and responsiveness. PTI TAS RHL
