Amaravati, Oct 7 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh cabinet headed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his completion of 25 years in power – both as Gujarat CM and PM.

Addressing a press conference, I&PR Minister K Parthasarathy said the cabinet passed a resolution congratulating PM Modi’s public service.

“On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years of public service, the Andhra Pradesh cabinet passed a resolution, congratulating him,” said Parthasarathy.

The cabinet noted that PM Modi is known for his honesty, discipline, clarity, decisive leadership and other virtues, and also listed out many of his achievements.

Further detailing the cabinet decisions, Parthasarathy noted that it has decided to create the Andhra Pradesh Horticultural Information and Management System (APHIMS).

He said APHIMS will collect and analyse information pertaining to horticulture to render better services to farmers.

Likewise, the cabinet eased the conditions for setting up private schools, doing away with requirements such as undertaking a survey, issuing a notification and also proving that a private school is needed in a particular place.

Similarly, the cabinet decided to create a policy – Andhra Pradesh Policy for Promotion of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions (FHEIs) and Private Universities, 2026– for attracting international higher educational institutions, quality private universities, investments, international collaborations in the education field and others.

Further, Parthasarathy noted that Naidu decided to form a ministerial committee to resolve disputes pertaining to housing plots in 45 days, among other decisions. PTI STH

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
