Imphal, Oct 6 (PTI) Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Tuesday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit the northeastern state in October.

Interacting with reporters after a Cabinet meeting, he said that during the discussions, “we resolved to express heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi” for completing 25 years in public service and thanked him for his “special attention, care and developmental focus on Manipur and the northeast”.

Responding to media queries, Singh said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Manipur in October, but the exact date has not been fixed.”

“The prime minister will complete 25 years of uninterrupted and distinguished service as elected head of government on October 7. This remarkable journey, from chief minister to prime minister, is a true testament to his unwavering commitment, visionary leadership and spirit of service.”

“In today’s cabinet meeting, we resolved to express heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the momentous occasion of completing 25 glorious years of dedicated public service for the development of the nation and the welfare of its citizens,” the Manipur chief minister said.
