Air quality in city remains poor

New Delhi, Oct 18 (PTI) The city remained in the grip of pollution on Friday with the air quality settling in the poor zone.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 292 this morning.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe. The minimum temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius, 1.1 degrees above normal.

Humidity was at 91 percent at 8.30 am, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The weather department has predicted clear sky for the day, with the maximum temperature likely to settle around 36 degrees Celsius. PTI NSM DV DV
